The 2011 Rose Bowl, the 97th edition of the annual game, is a college football bowl game scheduled on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the same-named stadium in Pasadena, California. The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association is the organizer of the game. Vizio Inc. of Irvine, California has signed a four-year contract to sponsor the Rose Bowl game, which will also include the 2014 BCS National Championship Game as well.
Held on New Year's Day since 1923 at the Rose Bowl Stadium, the Rose Bowl is the oldest college football bowl game in American history. This year, the Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.

The game is usually played during January 1st at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California and it’s played between college teams, usually the champions of the Pacific 10 and the Big Ten conferences.
The game on January 1st 2010 was played by the Ohio State University Buckeyes and the University of Oregon Ducks; the Buckeyes won by 26-17. For the coming year the Rose Bowl got forced to choose a team from a non authentic qualifier, because the champion of the Pacific 10 Oregon Ducks will play in the BCS National Championship.
The teams will be the Big Ten champion Wisconsin Badgers against the non AQ-team TCU Horned Frogs. They only have met one time in 1970.
With a perfect record of 12-0 score, also winning 8 conference games and the Mountain West Conference title. TCU Horned Frogs makes his first trip to Pasadena and is the first team from the conference to play in this New Year’s Day.
Winsconsin Badgers started the season with many wins over UNLV in las Vegas, San Jose State and Arizona. Even with a loss in the opener, the Badger recovered and got a winning streak of seven games, including over #1 Ohio State and lower ranked Iowa City.
The coming year and the Rose Bowl start to smell; and smells good.
